Foton Mobility Distribution appoints Iain Dorward as heavy vehicle sales manager

FOTON Mobility Distribution (FMD) has appointed Iain Dorward as its new sales manager of heavy vehicles.

He has 23 years of commercial vehicle experience with Mercedes-Benz across the UK, Ireland and Australia.

FMD said Mr Dorward brings a wealth of industry and technical expertise to his new role, having spent a total of nine years in Australia, working with Daimler throughout his time including three years as a technical trainer with Mercedes-Benz, culminating in his last role as technical sales executive Bus & Coach for Mercedes-Benz NSW.

“Iain joins FMD at a pivotal point in its growth, with the second shipment of 45 T5 light duty electric trucks now in pre-delivery in Sydney, and with additional zero-emissions commercial vehicles due to be introduced to the market in coming months,” the company said.

Mr Dorward will work closely with FMD national sales manager of buses, Geg Abel.

FMD is the exclusive Australian distributor of Foton New Energy vehicles, including battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell electric trucks and buses, and more recently Asiastar 5.9m electric vans.

FMD is a member of the TrueGreen Impact Investment Group and is 100 per cent Australian-owned.
